| Just like four years ago, the scientific consultancy for the KLEBEN is also being provided in 2009 by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing and Applied Materials ? Adhesive Bonding Technology and Surfaces IFAM). With more than 145 employees, it is Europe's largest independent research organisation in the field of industrial adhesive bonding technology. The Fraunhofer IFAM has a high level of competence in the conversion of bonding technology into everyday industrial practice. The Institute's work ranges from basic research, through production down to the market launch of new products; the industrial fields of application are plant engineering and vehicle manufacturing, micro-assembly as well as in the packaging, textile and electronic industries. The bonding centre is the world's market leader in the field of staff training in bonding and, at the same time, it is the Certified Body of the Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA, Federal Railway Office) for the bonding of rail vehicles and vehicle components (DIN 6701). |
