German Society for non-destructive Testing Founded in 1933, the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZfP) is the oldest non-destructive testing society in the world. As a non-profit, technical/scientific association, it promotes vocational and further training as well as science and research. It organises communication between research and development institutes and NDT users, equipment manufacturers and service-providers. The DGfP currently has some 900 personal and almost 500 corporate members, including research facilities, universities and authorities as well as companies and individuals involved in NDT. Professional experience is exchanged in 17 regional working groups and voluntary technical committees work towards finding solutions to problems. In order to develop scientific and technical young people, the DGZfP presents every year the Berthold Award and the Schiebold Commemorative Coin, both of which are endowed with ?4,000. The DGZfP is a founding member of the European Federation for Non-Destructive Testing, EFNDT, and the world organisation ICNDT. |
